Proposed parish pipeline provides promise

May 5, 2011U.S. Rep. Jeff Landry, R-New Iberia, in an effort to become more accessible to St. Mary Parish residents, announced that his district staff would host satellite office hours at two locations in the parish.
The initiative began yesterday. Landry’s satellite office locations and hours for the meetings to be held in the Tri-parish area are as follows:
St. Mary Parish Courthouse, 500 Main St., Franklin on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
St. Mary Parish AARP Senior Center, 4014 Chennault St., Morgan City on the second and fourth Fridays of the month.
“I encourage the good people of the 3rd Congressional District to visit with our staff during these hours and discuss any concerns they may have with a federal program, regulation, rule, or law,” Landry said in a printed release.
The congressman’s staff will assist with Social Security Administration, Veterans Administration, Internal Revenue Service, the Small Business Administration, citizenship and immigration services, military academies and other issues.
