Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 264,191. That’s 2,924 more cases since yesterday. 245,626 are confirmed; 18,565 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 43 new deaths, bringing the total to 6,767 deaths. 6,465 are confirmed; 302 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 12/7/20 is 217,930, which is 15,039 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting 5,323 cases. There are 4,761 confirmed and 562 probable. That’s 46 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 150 deaths; 144 are confirmed and 6 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2 is 8.60%, up 7.50% from the week prior, which was 8.00%.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 4,999 cases. There are 4,672 confirmed and 327 probable. That’s 33 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 141 deaths; 136 are confirmed and 5 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2 is 7.40%, down 5.10% from the week prior, which was 7.80%. Total recovered is 3,764 as of 11/25/20.

 

Statewide, there are 1,589 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 167 are on ventilators. That’s 60 less patients since yesterday, and 13 less on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 3,867,799, which is 38,222 more tests than yesterday. There are 3,720,707 molecular tests and 147,092 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 70,134 tests in Lafourche (66,269 molecular and 3,865 antigen) and 67,448 tests in Terrebonne (65,032 molecular and 2,416 antigen). That’s 580 more tests in Lafourche and 501 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
