Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 383,862. That’s 3,604 more cases since yesterday. 337,215 are confirmed; 46,647 are probable.


 

Due to planned maintenance, case and test counts on 1/24/2021 are one-day totals. Counts on 1/25/2021 will be two-day totals.

 

The state is reporting 82 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,565 deaths. 8,038 are confirmed; 527 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/18/21 is 320,025, which is 21,411 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 7,794 cases. There are 6,205 confirmed and 1,589 probable. That’s 94 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 172 deaths; 163 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan. 7-Jan. 13 is 9.80%, down 17.65% from the week prior, which was 11.90%. Incidence is 390.36.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 8,112 cases. There are 6,702 confirmed and 1,410 probable. That’s 185 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 167 deaths; 156 are confirmed and 11 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan.7-Jan. 13 is 11.70%, down 18.18% from the week prior, which was 14.30%. Incidence is 401.73.

 

Statewide, there are 1,641 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 215 are on ventilators. That’s 106 less patients since yesterday, and 1 less on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 5,095,304, which is 47,317 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,768,923 molecular tests and 326,381 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 92,510 tests in Lafourche (82,766 molecular and 9,744 antigen) and 90,814 tests in Terrebonne (83,642 molecular and 7,172 antigen). That’s 809 more tests in Lafourche and 957 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
