The TGMC has chosen Monique Albares, RN, and Robyn Grabert, RN, for the monthly Daisy Awards.

Albares has been a part of the TGMC team 12 years working on the telemetry floor.

“It is an honor to receive this award. I try to treat people with respect and dignity. I treat my patients like I treat my family,” Albares said.

Grabert has been a part of the TGMC team four years working as a labor and delivery nurse in the TGMC Women’s Center.

“It was an honor to receive the award. I was very surprised. I see the nurses that I work with everyday, and they deserve it too. It was just amazing,” said the labor and delivery nurse.

Nurses at TGMC are being honored with The Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This award is part of the Daisy Foundation’s program to recognize the superhuman efforts nurses perform every day. Mark Barnes and his family founded the award in 1999, and TGMC joins 37-other medical facilities in honoring their nurses with this special award.

In attendance for the presentations were family members and co-workers, the TGMC Daisy Award committee; Phyllis Peoples, TGMC president and CEO; Teresita McNabb, TGMC vice president of Nursing Services, and Linda Songy, TGMC assistant vice president of Nursing Services.
