Toni Armstrong, RN, Terrebonne General Medical Center’s director of nursing for oncology and the skilled nursing facility, was recently presented with the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award.

The award, named in memory of visionary ACHCA member Eli Pick, recognizes hospital leaders whose teams have achieved dimensions of organizational quality that few others have been able to reach. In all, 257 administrators were given leadership awards nationally and Armstrong was one of 227 receipts who received the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award recognition.

Eligibility for this award is based on experience, survey data, including the Health, Fire (Life Safety), and surveys, as well as top quartile performance on designated quality measures. The ACHCA firmly believes that excellence is a reflection of TGMC’s leadership excellence.

“We are honored to have the ACHCA recognize the leadership skills of our Oncology Nurse Director,” said Phyllis Peoples, president and CEO. “Toni’s wisdom and expertise provides great direction to our nurses and raises the quality of patient care we maintain.”
