Bayou Lafourche closing topic of meeting

A public meeting will be held in Galliano today to discuss the temporary closure of Bayou Lafourche.

Set to begin at 10 a.m., at the Greater Lafourche Port Commission Board Room, 16829 East Main St., the meeting is being held to review the closure during construction of the new Leeville Bridge. Representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, and Traylor/Massman, the contractor for the project, as well as the Port Commission will be on hand to address concerns.
