Daigle’s Jewelry opened its doors in downtown-historical Houma in 1950. The family-owned store was started by Edward Daigle, and later taken over by son Steven Daigle and his wife Faye in 1972. “Our store is a place where people can come and find elegance at an affordable price,” Steven Daigle said. The married duo specializes in wedding sets and say they are “just like the ones your mother use to wear.” Each piece in the store n new or vintage n is personally selected by Daigle and his wife.

The store offers over 1,000 rings to choose from, he said. “Chain stores have changed this business a lot,” the jeweler added. “But you can still come into Daigle’s and expect that personal attention that we have always delivered.”

Daigle’s Jewelry is located at 304 Belanger St.
