Dr. Antoine Keller to join CIS practice in Houma

Dr. Antoine Keller, a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon, has joined the Cardiovascular Institute of the South’s Houma practice.


He will officially begin seeing patients at CIS Houma on Jan. 2, 2008.


Keller makes the move from the surgical staff of CIS in Lafayette, where he has worked since February 2002.

Keller attended the University of California in Los Angeles and Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, N.C.


A native New Orleanian, Keller completed his general surgery internship, residency and research fellowship at Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans where he also served as chief resident.

Keller followed that up with a thoracic and cardiovascular surgery residency at Carolinas Heart Institute in Charlotte, N.C.

Board certified in general surgery, Keller is the author/co-author of more than 40 publications, presentations and abstracts. He has also completed countless experimental and clinical studies.

Keller has received several prestigious awards and is a member of several highly respected professional societies relating to his specialty.
