A local company has earned the prestige and honor of being named one of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

Inc. Magazine ranked Technology Professionals, LLC – an 11-year-old technology distribution and solutions company headquartered in Houma – No. 3660 on its 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

“This is a great accomplishment for our company,” partner Jason Bergeron said. “We would not be where we are today without the support of our employees, great relationships with our clients and our spouses. This award speaks volumes for the growth of our area and a mission we have to promote technology awareness, innovation and education in Southeast Louisiana.”

Technology Professionals has achieved a three-year sales growth rate of 88 percent, something Bergeron attributed to hard work, customer service and the relationship with clients and employees.

According to Bergeron, Technology Professionals does anything and everything related to technology including computers, servers, networks, Web design, implication design, telephones, surveillance and branding.

Bergeron said the company offers its service from Texas to Florida and even goes outside those boundaries to wherever clients need them – servicing clients in Alaska Nebraska and Wyoming before.

“We do some pretty high end stuff, not exactly what companies are known for in our area. We have a wide range of experience that allows us to expand the globe and work with companies as small as two people or as large as 1,000,” Bergeron said.

What’s not unique to this area, however, is the fact that businesses are thriving, and they are helping each other thrive, according to Bergeron.

“I think it’s great for us, great for our region. It’s one more reason why our area is thriving and how technology is taking off in our area with the oil and gas leading the nation in its rebound. I think that’s one of the things that drives the demand for technology. Everybody’s always trying to find a bigger, better, faster way and a more cost effective way in a lot of solutions so we work to try to help them find solutions for things they’re trying to do,” said Bergeron.

All of the Inc. Magazine 2014 rankings can be found online at www.inc.com/inc500, and Technology Professionals made the cut even though President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg said there were far fewer technology companies in the list this year.

“What surprised me, even though I know it’s coming, is the sheer variety of the paths our entrepreneurs take to success,” said Schurenberg. “This year there are far more social media and far fewer computer hardware businesses that there were, say, six years ago. But what doesn’t change is the fearsome creativity unleashed by American entrepreneurship.”

This is not the first time Technology Professionals has been honored as it also won the 2007 Small Business of the Year award from the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce.

“We’ve very honored and proud to be representing our area. Any kind of positives that come out of our area I think is great for the industry and the area as a whole,” said Bergeron.
