Pancake lovers: mark your calendars for March 1. That’s National Pancake Day, and to mark the occasion, IHOP is giving away free buttermilk pancakes.

IHOP restaurants are serving each guest a free short stack of pancakes in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Guests are asked in exchange to make a donation at IHOP to benefit programs at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.

Nationally, IHOP is looking to raise $2.3 million, for a total of more than $7.65 million in six years with the fundraising effort. Last year, IHOP served 4 million free pancakes on National Pancake Day and raised $2.1 million.

The pancake giveaway will be held from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
