Maudlin returns to state CPA society’s board

Shawn Maudlin, CPA, Ph.D., is returning to the Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA) board for the second year of a two-year term. He is serving as a board member at-large.

Maudlin is the dean of the College of Business at Nicholls State University and the Cenac chair of accounting.


The Thibodaux resident received his bachelor’s degree and MBA in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Nicholls State University. He also received a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Mississippi.

In 2005, Dr. Mauldin received the LCPA’s Lifetime Achievement in Accounting Education Award, recognizing his accomplishments as an outstanding educator and his many contributions to the accounting profession.

He served as the 2006-07 president of the LCPA’s South Central chapter.
