MidSouth Bank celebrated the opening of its new 1,910-square-foot retail store at 205 N. Canal Blvd. in Thibodaux this month.

Employees relocated from the Rienzi Shopping Center office to the freestanding facility at the corner of Canal Street and Rue Loudon. The new location, which features three offices and three drive-thru teller lanes with television screens for personal interaction between customers and employees, also offers a well-lit drive-up ATM and night-deposit area.

“Thibodaux’s economy is expanding, and this new facility will help us better meet the needs of our customers, many of whom are the entrepreneurs and successful business people driving the local economy,” said JoAnn Bolotte, manager of the Thibodaux retail store. “We also think the new location’s visibility will bring in new customers who have heard about the high level of customer service and support we offer.”

Bolotte has worked in the Thibodaux office for six years.

“The location was designed for easy access, which will make banking with us a more pleasing experience,” she continued.

Customers will have access to all of MidSouth’s banking and investment products and services — from business, consumer and mortgage loans to an array of investment, checking and savings products. “Thibodaux has a strong professional community, and we have a range of programs to meet their needs,” Bolotte added. “This also is a big university town. And because MidSouth’s president, Rusty Cloutier, is a Nicholls grad, we have a special connection to the students and faculty and do a lot of business with them.”

For the past four years, Tammie Boudreaux has served as the location’s financial services associate. Thibodaux natives Kim Faucheaux and Charlene Rodrigue recently joined the bank — Faucheaux as universal banker and Rodrigue as customer service associate. Faucheaux has three years of banking experience and Rodrigue has two. Additionally, the Thibodaux location is accepting applications for the position of commercial loan officer.

Furthering its commitment to the Lafourche/Terrebonne corridor, MidSouth Bank last year opened a similar state-of-the-art facility at 1214 St. Charles St. in Houma. Both facilities were designed by James Broussard & Associates, an architectural firm based in Lafayette.

The new locations emphasize commercial and consumer lending, offering commercial loans ranging from $25,000 to $10 million.

Based in Lafayette, MidSouth Bank is one of the fastest-growing banks in the South and ranks fifth in both size and market share among Louisiana headquartered banks. The company is in the midst of a major expansion in both Louisiana and Texas.
