MidSouth Bank will host a celebration of the opening of its 1,910-square-foot location at 205 N. Canal Blvd. in Thibodaux on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3.

Founded in 1985, Lafayette-based MidSouth Bank has 29 locations in Louisiana and Texas.

The new facility is located at the corner of Canal Boulevard and Rue Loudon. It features three offices and three drive-through teller lanes with television screens for better customer contact. It also has a well-lit, drive-up ATM and night-deposit area.

A ribbon cutting will be held on Feb. 2, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and will include a grand prize drawing for a one-night stay and breakfast for two at Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie. The winner must be present.

Carnival festivities for the entire family get under way that Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Complimentary hamburgers and other refreshments will be served. The attractions include fun and games, face painting, and entertainment by “Magic Mike” and caricaturist Roy Robinson.

Saturday’s grand prize giveaway is a trip to New Orleans for a family of four — a one-night hotel stay that includes passes to the Aquarium of the Americas, Audubon Zoo and the IMAX Theatre.
