MidSouth Bank’s J. Eustis Corrigan Jr., executive vice president and chief financial officer, was among the speakers at a gathering of the nation’s top bankers yesterday.

Corrigan addressed attendees at the New York Society of Security Analysts’ 6th annual Banking Conference. His presentation focused on the strategic vision and financial position of the $800 million, Lafayette-based bank holding company, which owns MidSouth Bank and Lamar Bank of Texas.

“This New York City conference is another excellent opportunity to present MidSouth’s success story to potential investors and analysts — a new venue for us that will mean significant national exposure for our company,” said Corrigan. “NYSSA has organized an impressive forum that will feature presentations by senior execs from a select group of 10 mid-cap and small-cap banks.”

A CPA, Corrigan has two decades of experience as a public accountant. Before joining the company earlier this year, he was a tax services partner with KPMG LLP in San Antonio.

MidSouth Bancorp’s common stock is traded on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol MSL. The bank holding company has 29 locations in Louisiana and Texas, including operations in Houma, Morgan City and Thibodaux, and more than 120 ATMs.
