Marketing veteran Christy Naquin is returning to her alma mater as Nicholls State University’s marketing director of auxiliary services.

“The main reason I sought out Nicholls was because it offered me a sense of pride,” the 1995 marketing graduate said. “I’m glad to be at my alma mater, helping the students. I’m also pleased that my new position will afford me the opportunity to spend more time with my family.”

Naquin will organize marketing strategies for campus housing, dining, the university’s bookstore, student union, ID card operations and the campus post office, according to school officials.

A 20-year resident of Thibodaux, Naquin was marketing director for Oak Alley Plantation for five years and chief executive of SEACOR Marine, an oilfield transportation company, for two years.

Naquin and her husband of 10 years, Ryan, have two children – 4-year-old Collin and 4-month-old Chase.
