The South Central Industrial Association (SCIA) has announced that they will host an employment law breakfast briefing this month.

The program will take place beginning at 8 a.m. at the Quality Hotel in Houma.


Among the topics scheduled to be discussed: correctly classifying employees, monitoring overtime and meal periods, how to discipline for poor attitude and how to write employment documents that stand up in court.


HRIC credits will be given to those that participate.

The cost for the program is $100 for non-SCIA members.

The program is free for SCIA members.
