Teche Federal Bank recently celebrated the opening of its second Houma branch at 912 Grand Caillou Road.

The new facility replaces the branch at 1962 Prospect St. A third branch is slated to be built in the Martin Luther King area, further demonstrating “the bank’s long-term commitment to Terrebonne Parish,” said Patrick Little, bank president and CEO.

Teche Federal has been in Terrebonne Parish for more than 20 years, according to the Grand Caillou branch sales and service manager Stephanie Dandry. The facility and staff have played an active role in the community during that time, she noted.

The updated, expanded site is a welcome addition to the company, Dandry said. “Our customers are excited about the new office. With this larger, improved facility we are able to provide more of the great services our customers have come to expect from Teche Federal,” she said.

Teche Federal has a branch at 706 Barrow St. In October 2007, it celebrated the opening of a new, updated Thibodaux branch at 921 Canal Blvd. In all, Teche Federal operates 20 offices in Louisiana, including branches in Franklin, Bayou Vista and Morgan City in St. Mary Parish.

Founded in 1934, the bank has a 74-year history in mortgage lending and a 13-year track record in community banking services, Little said.
