The Terrebonne Economic Development Authority has named Meggie “Meg” Benoit communications director for the economic agency of Terrebonne Parish.

A native of Thibodaux, Benoit is a Louisiana State University graduate and has worked in communications and marketing with Louisiana Economic Development and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

“I am excited to start me new career with TEDA,” Benoit said. “I am very fortunate to be part of such a wonderful team that is helping Terrebonne Parish make great advances in economic development.”

“The addition of Meg Benoit on our staff brings forth a fresh, new outlook that will enhance our appeal and communications approach considerably,” TEDA CEO Steve Vassallo said.

Benoit’s hiring represents part of the staff restructuring TEDA had previously announced.
