February 22, 2012Tickets and sponsorships are available for the 6th Annual Athena Awards Banquet of the Women’s Business Alliance of Houma, set for March 15 at the Quality Hotel of Houma.
The banquet will honor a community member for service to the community and to women’s leadership. Deanne Delahoussaye, author of the blog “Hot Mess Mom,” will be the keynote speaker.
Each year, the organization honors a community member who demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession, devotes time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in their community and actively assists women in reaching their full leadership potential.
The event will include music by Mark Martinez and Randal Loupe of The French Bred Band, a silent auction, a three-course meal and a cash bar.
The cash bar will open at 6 p.m. with the program and dinner to follow at 7:15 pm.
The event is sponsored each year by local businesses, led by Barker Buick GMC at the Diamond Level.
