Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 275,545. That’s 3,275 more cases since yesterday. 254,489 are confirmed; 21,056 are probable.
The state is reporting 38 new deaths, bringing the total to 6,933 deaths. 6,607 are confirmed; 326 are probable.
The total of presumed recovered as of 12/14/20 is 232,725, which is 14,795 more than last week.
Lafourche Parish is reporting 5,539 cases. There are 4,908 confirmed and 631 probable. That’s 29 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 156 deaths; 149 are confirmed and 7 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 3-Dec. 9 is 10.0.0%, up 16.3% from the week prior, which was 8.60%.
Terrebonne Parish is reporting 5,229 cases. There are 4,807 confirmed and 422 probable. That’s 61 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 143 deaths; 137 are confirmed and 6 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 3-Dec. 9 is 7.90%, up 8.20% from the week prior, which was 7.40%. Total recovered is 3,764 as of 11/25/20.
Statewide, there are 1,584 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 167 are on ventilators. That’s 13 less patients since yesterday, and 15 more on ventilators.
The total of tests reported today is 4,005,841, which is 31,322 more tests than yesterday. There are 3,842,577 molecular tests and 163,264 antigen tests.
There have been a total of 72,478 tests in Lafourche (68,181 molecular and 4,297 antigen) and 69,856 tests in Terrebonne (67,016 molecular and 2,840 antigen). That’s 330 more tests in Lafourche and 541 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
