A Houma man was arrested Thursday morning after he drove through a Cleveland Street yard and struck a fence, Houma Police said.

Clinton Roberts, 24, of 1300 Laban Ave., Apt. #62, was issued a summons for hit-and-run driving in connection with the incident, police said.

The homeowner reported the damage to police. She told officers Roberts drove through her yard, located in the 200 block of Cleveland Street, damaging the fence in the process. After searching the area, police found a fence in the 1200 block of Laban Avenue also damaged by what appeared to be the same vehicle, police said.

About three hours, while patrolling the area, officers found the vehicle, a 2007 Chevy Avalanche, in Laban Avenue.
