Sheriff Tim Soignet reminds citizens of the Mandatory Curfew that will be enforced in all areas of Terrebonne Parish south of the Morganza to the Gulf levee system.

This curfew is in effect from Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 10 p.m. to Wednesday, August 26, 2020, until 6 a.m.


“These are the same areas as those for which a mandatory evacuation was ordered,” Sheriff Tim Soignet said. “We have a duty to protect the properties of the people who have had to leave, which is why this curfew is going into effect.”

 

Update: 

The areas for which a curfew has been established due to Hurricane Laura are as follows:


EVERYWHERE SOUTH OF THE MORGANZA-TO-THE-GULF STORM PROTECTION SYSTEM

 

This means:

South of the Pointe-aux-Chenes Floodgate


South of the Bayou Terrebonne floodgate in Lower Montegut

ALL of Isle de Jean Charles

All areas south of the Bayou Petit Caillou Floodgate including Cocodrie


All areas south of the levee ramp road near Four Point

All areas south of the lower Dularge Floodgate.
