For the past week, Houma Police kept receiving reports that a man wearing thong panties, a see-through shirt and high heels was approaching residents in Mulberry Subdivision asking for directions.

In one instance, according to a police spokesman, he asked the way to “Wicked Boulevard,” a nonexistent road.

On Monday morning, officers arrested the man suspected of the criminal mischief, said Lt. Todd Duplantis.

Houma Police were tipped that Harold Poston Jr., 48, of Houma, was the possible suspect. Officers found him at a local motel on Bayou Black Drive, Duplantis said.

Witnesses described the panty-clad man as a 6-foot tall black man in his late 20s or early 30s, the spokesman said. They reported he was driving a gray SUV, similar to a GMC Yukon, he said.

For several days, officers saturated the area when the calls came in but were unable to locate the man, Duplantis said. Officials at Mulberry Elementary School were advised to call police if they spotted anything unusual in the area, he explained.

After police questioned Poston, he was arrested for three counts of criminal mischief, Duplantis said. He was issued a summons for the charges.
