Police search for perfume salesman

Houma Police are searching for a couple driving a small sedan with Texas tags that tried to sell knock-off cologne at local gas stations, a department spokesman said.

Lt. Todd Duplantis said the couple approached customers as they pumped gas. Houma Police contacted the permits office in Terrebonne Parish and confirmed that no one had been issued a permit to sell cologne to citizens in public, he said.

Houma Police are asking residents to call (985) 873-6371 if they are approached by anyone trying to sell cologne in public.
