Rape complaint nets arrests

Two Hispanic men are in custody of the Terrebonne Parish’s Sheriff’s Office after authorities said they had consensual sex with an underage woman.

Authorities said that last Tuesday at approximately 11 p.m., they were contacted in reference to a rape investigation.

Authorities said that the mother of a 16-year-old female arrived at the office with her daughter to file a complain that she was forced into sex.

During the complaint, the victim said she was raped earlier that day by a Hispanic male who lived near her residence. She then named the suspect, but said that he didn’t speak English at all, authorities said.

After picking up the suspect, detectives learned that the suspect and victim had consensual sex, and that no rape occurred.

The suspect was identified at Javier Flores Ramos, 25, of 7397 Park Avenue, Houma.

Through further questioning, authorities also learned that the victim had two small children with the suspect’s friend, who is identified as Wilmer Leonel Duron-Santos, 23, of 7395 Park Ave., Houma.

Both Flores-Ramos and Duron-Santos were arrested and charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Each was taken to the Terrebonne Parish Jail on a $150,000 bond.

The victim was also charged in the case for filing a false police report.
