Bourg Fire Station located at 4317 Highway 24 in Bourg Louisiana is now designated as an official drop off site for your worn out and retired American Flags.
“We now have a dedicated collection box located in the front parking lot for your convenience. Just unlatch the box put your old US Flags that need a proper disposal in the box and latch the lid back closed. We will make sure your flags are retired and destroyed in the proper manner,” shared the station’s social media page.
“We want to give a shout out to Amy Portier with WoodmanLife for getting us hooked up with this awesome and much needed flag drop box. This box is available to the public 24 hours a day for your convenience right here in the bayou community.”
The flags dropped off will be destroyed according to proper flag etiquette once enough flags have been gathered.
