Are you ready to grow your small business? Shell LiveWIRE’s free Louisiana Accelerator Program is now accepting applications to help you build a successful and sustainable business.
“Shell LiveWIRE was launched in Scotland in 1982 to address youth unemployment. Today it operates in 20 countries strengthening local economies through entrepreneurship, innovation, and meaningful employment,” reads the official description of the Program on Shell’s website. “Every year LiveWIRE supports thousands of individuals to access the knowledge, skills, networks, and resources to start and/or grow their businesses. In 2022, Shell LiveWIRE trained about 2,685 people around the world and helped create more than 2,170 jobs. The programme supported 892 existing businesses and some 145 new businesses, with 123 Shell LiveWIRE-supported businesses entering our supply chain in 2022.”
Participants in the Louisiana Accelerator program will receive:
- 8 virtual training sessions
- 1:1 business consultations
- Mentorship and coaching
- Media and digital promotion
- Cohort and expert networking events
The 2024 Shell LiveWIRE Louisiana Accelerator Program deadline to apply is January 31, 2024. The schedule is as follows:
Application and Selection
- Call for applications launched week of December 11th
- Application closes January 31
- Applicant selections made by February 20th
Micro & Small Business Accelerator
- Launch March 4th, 2024
- 8 business learning modules
- Virtual delivery, once per week
- At-home assignments
Mentorship & Coaching
- Mentoring will take place throughout and after the 8-week Accelerator program
- 1:1 Business consulting, mentoring, and coaching provided by Louisiana Small Business Development Center
Graduation Showcase
- Scheduled for May 4, 2024
- Hosted by Shell at Jazz Fest
- Opportunity to network and celebrate completing the program
Shell LiveWIRE Alumni
- Access to the Shell LiveWIRE global alumni network
- Global programs and competitions including Top Ten Innovators
