St. Charles bridge to close Monday

Terrebonne Parish officials issued a reminder Thursday that the St. Charles Bridge over Bayou Terrebonne and connecting Main Street to Park Avenue will be closed for the next six months.

The barriers will be up beginning Monday, and crews will begin work to install a new bridge.

Traffic delays are expected to be minimal and drivers are advised to allow more travel time if going through that area.
