Via the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Facebook page: The holiday season can be a really sensitive time for many, and Start Corporation is providing a Behavioral Health Crisis Walk-In Center and Mobile Crisis Response Service for anyone in the community experiencing a crisis.
Anyone 21 years or older can call or walk in to the center and seek crisis assistance. A mobile crisis response unit is also being offered which will deploy out into the community for those who are unable to get to the center.
At this time, the crisis center operates during business hours only: 235 Civic Center Boulevard Drive, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. If someone is experiencing a crisis outside of business hours, they are encouraged to call or text the Suicide Prevention and Crisis Lifeline at ‘988’. This service is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Those needing further assistance will be referred to their preferred/usual provider. You do not have to be a patient of Start to qualify for this service. Please note that this service is offered to Lafourche, Terrebonne, St. John, St. James, St. Charles, St. Mary, and Assumption Parishes.
For routine Behavioral Health services, you can always reach out to the Houma Clinic at 985-333-2020, or the Thibodaux clinic at 985-266-0444 to schedule an appointment with a provider. If you have questions about this program, please feel free to contact the Crisis Center at 985-333-1633.
