Four St. Mary Parish people were arrested on drug charges in separate incidents last Tuesday and Wednesday, the St. Mary Parish Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force reported.

James Bolden IV, 25, of 1201 Mary Lee St., Franklin, was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.

As agents patrolling the St. Joseph area attempted to investigate several people standing in the road, Bolden reportedly ran away. When agents caught him, they found a cellophane bag containing cocaine in his possession. Near the area where he was caught, several small bags containing cocaine were also found.

Agents also arrested Jonathan Polidore, 19, of 104 Edward Lane, Jeanerette, and Jenarius J. Green, 18, no address given, for false representation of a CDS. Green was also charged with resisting an officer.

As agents patrolled Big Four Corners Road, they spotted the two and attempted to conduct an investigative stop. As the agents approached the duo, one of the teens dropped a bag on the ground. Inside were several rocks of cocaine, authorities said.

Green tried to run away, but was quickly caught, agents said. As he ran, he dropped several rocks of suspected crack cocaine to the ground. The suspected narcotics turned out to be fake, according to authorities.

Robert Kelly, 44, of 1041 Grace St., Siracusaville, was arrested early last Wednesday for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Agents stopped Kelly at 12:35 a.m. as they patrolled the Siracusaville area. He was cited for carrying drug paraphernalia, and was given a summons to appear in court on Oct. 9.

The drug task force consists of officers with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and Morgan City, Patterson, Franklin, Baldwin, Berwick and Chitimacha police departments.
