Free Franklin lecture focuses on Civil War

The South Central Planning and Development Commission will sponsor a half day workshop on select Louisiana Tax Incentive Programs on August 19, 2008 between 8:30 a.m. and noon at its office located at 5058 West Main Street, Houma, La. The program will be repeated on August 20th from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the United Way of St. Charles office, 13207 River Road, Luling, La. Guest speakers will include representatives from the Louisiana Departments of Economic Development, Labor and Environmental Quality. Featured presentations will also include information on IRS tax incentives for use of public transportation. On August 19th, there will be an added briefing on the Atchafalaya Heritage Area Business Program, which includes portions of Terrebonne and Assumption Parishes.
