Terrebonne Parish President Gordon Dove has issued an executive order declaring a parish-wide state of emergency due to Tropical Storm Ida, which could hit southeast Louisiana as a major hurricane.

The latest National Weather Service update puts the center of the storm’s cone over Terrebonne Bay. Area impacts could start Sunday afternoon. Rapid intensification is possible with the favorable conditions as the storm approaches the Gulf.
