Two teens were arrested Sunday evening after Thibodaux Police spotted them walking in the middle of Plantation Road and refusing to get out of the way of traffic, a department spokeswoman said.

Det. Laura Guise said Mark Domino, 19, of 210 East 10th St., Gramercy, and a 16-year-old from Thibodaux were arrested around 7 p.m.

Officers told the two males to get out of the road so they would not be hurt and that vehicles would be allowed to pass, Guise said. But when police returned to the area a short time later, the two teens were back in the road causing traffic to go around them as they blatantly disobeyed the horns of the vehicles that were attempted to lawfully pass, she said.

Domino and the teen were arrested for simple obstruction of a highway. Domino was also charged with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
