The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to catch the person responsible for shooting out the windows on several vehicles in the Lisa Park area, a department spokesman said.

On Friday, deputies responded to several damage to property complaints, said Capt. Malcolm Wolfe. The crimes occurred between late Thursday and early Friday morning, he said.

The windows appeared to have been shot with a BB or pellet gun, Wolfe explained.

The owners of the vehicles discovered the damage early Friday. In some instances, the windows or windshields shattered from the vibration when the vehicle was started, he said.

Sunday morning, the whole scene was repeated, Wolfe said, when the sheriff’s office received more calls that several windows on vehicles had been shot out in the Chauvin, Village East, Rhett Place, Lisa Park and Oakshire area.

Wolfe speculated that the crimes had occurred sometime late Saturday or early Sunday.

Deputies also responded to complaints of a motorist throwing bricks at passing vehicles’ windshields as they passed on Audubon Avenue near Elmirea Court, he said.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to the TPSO Detective Bureau at (985) 876-2500.
