The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently looking into a number of scams calls being made to our residents. Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking the public to remain vigilant and patient as our agency works through this investigation.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office is being made aware of a series of phone calls that are being made to residents throughout Terrebonne Parish in regard to possible scam type activity, where the caller is posing as a member of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, or other Law Enforcement agency. The caller is attempting to solicit money, in the form of payments, for services such as outstanding warrants, fees, etc.
Sheriff Soignet is urging everyone to make NO PAYMENTS to anyone to resolve this type call or caller. This is an active investigation, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
