U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) will be opening mobile offices in Terrebonne, Lafourche and St. Mary parishes for residents needing help with issues related to hurricanes Gustav and Ike and assistance with casework.

The mobile offices will eliminate travel time to one of Vitter’s seven permanent offices, the nearest being in Metairie and Baton Rouge.

Vitter’s Acadiana office is located in Lafayette.

The senator was in the Tri-Parishes Tuesday morning for the openings.

The Lafourche location is in Mathews at the old Wal-Mart building, 4876 Louisiana Hwy. 1. The office will be open every Monday beginning Nov. 3 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The Terrebonne site is in Houma at the Town Hall Building, 809 Barrow Street, open every Monday beginning Nov. 3 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The St. Mary Parish mobile office will be located at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium at 728 Myrtle St. and open Wednesdays beginning Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
