Luncheon to recognize area’s foster parents; More adults needed to provide homes to youths

Adam L. “Noonie” Gautreaux Jr., 66, a native of Lafourche Parish, La. and a resident of Montegut, La., died 10:04 a.m. Friday May 11, 2007.

Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A religious service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.


He is survived by his former wife, Mary Neal Gautreaux of Montegut; three sons, Michael A. Gautreaux of Montegut, Adam L. Gautreaux Jr. and wife, Mary, of Bourg, La. and Patrick P. Gautreaux of Montegut; one sister, Nell G. Webre of Houma, La.; and four grandchildren, Angelica Gautreaux, Katie Gautreaux, Britnee Gautreaux and Adam Gautreaux IV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Gautreaux Sr. and Lucy Daigle Gautreaux; one grand-daughter, Karen Gautreaux; three brothers; Amos Gautreaux, Russell Gautreaux and Oscar Gautreaux; and one sister, Adele Gautreaux Price.

He was a retired barge foreman for J. Ray McDermott.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
