Agatha Rogers

Agatha Rogers, 80, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Monday, August 27, 2007, at 5:15 a.m.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Rogers; her son, Ricky Rogers and his wife Stephanie; her daughter, Charlene Porche and her husband Chuck; her sister, Lucy Cunningham; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Angelle Thibodaux Marcel; one son, Cleveland “Sue Sue” Rogers; four brothers, Dewey, Norris, Ernest, and Lance Marcel; and two sisters, Eula Stevens and Lillian Blanchard.

Agatha was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue.

Visitation is Tuesday, August 28, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and Wednesday, August 29, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Louis Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
