Alcide O’Neal Acosta, 94, a native of Belle Alliance, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, August 18, 2007.


He is survived by his wife, Agnes Aucoin Acosta; two sons, Richard Acosta and his wife Mara, and Keith Acosta; two daughters, Barbara Gautreaux and Judy Richard; four grandchildren, Larry, Kenneth Jr., Rena and Dylan; and three great-grandchildren, Andre, Stevie and Chris.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Comas and Laura Acosta; two sisters, Maude Raffray and Dease Molliere; and two brothers, Albert and Abdon Acosta.

Alcide was a loving husband for 68 years to his wife Agnes. He was a farm employee and an Assumption Police Jury employee. He was an active member of C-C Camp prior to World War II.

He is buried in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church Cemetery in Donaldsonville, La.

Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
