Raising homes reaches above the threat
April 26, 2011Alfred Lawson Sr., 82, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Monday, April 18, 2011.
Mr. Lawson was a member of Refuge Restoration Church in Houma, La.
He is survived by his wife, Melvina Lawson; daughter, Sarah Lawson; sons, Pastor Floyd (Shaun), Alfred Jr. (Karen), Larry, Clarence and Burnell Lawson; brother, Hulbert Lawson Sr.; and sisters, Lucille Robinson and Enola Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Matilda Lawson; son, Elton Lawson; daughter, Linda Brown; brothers, Joseph, Earl, Henry Jr., Henderson and Jeremiah Lawson; sister, Gloria Beamon; and grandson, Sgt. Norman Brown Jr.
He is buried at Young Ladies Benevolent Cemetery. (Kennedy)
