Alida Cortez Dempster, 77, a native and resident of Kraemer, La., died at 10:18 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Alex (Deanna) and Jason (Andrea) Dempster; sister, Cathy (Jules Plaisance) Punch; brother, Anthony (Sandra) Cortez; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Nick) Arcement, and Clint, Thomas and Ashley Dempster; and three great-grandchildren, Riley and Alexcia Arcement, and Dylan Reed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gratien Dempster; parents, Septime Jr. and Odiana Granier Cortez; and one brother, Horace “Champ” (Margaret) Cortez.
She is buried at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
