Local troops brace for life away from home
January 6, 2010Allen “Richard” McGandy, 62, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Franklin, La., died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at 10:25 p.m., at his residence in Franklin, La., following a long illness.
He is survived by his mother, Roseline Yarber (Robert Jr.) McCurtis; brothers, Donald McCurtis, Anthony Taylor, Charles, Stephen and Dwayne McCurtis; sisters, Lois King, Cynthia and Christenella McCurtis and Lisa Francis.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and two nieces.
He is buried at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Centerville, La.
