Alma Louise Chauvin Richard, 90, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010.
Mrs. Richard was a retired educator who had taught in the Terrebonne Parish School System for 40 years, at Terrebonne High School and at South Terrebonne High School. She volunteered and actively participated in many community organizations, including the Terrebonne Retired Teachers’ Association, the Southdown Museum, the St. Francis de Sales Cathedral Choir and Les Amis de la Chanson among others for 24 years.
She is survived by her son, David Robert Richard; her daughter, Joan Ellen Richard Moise; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Evariste Robert Richard; and her daughter, Barbara Ann Richard Coco-Seneca.
