April 8, 2010Alvin Joseph Estay Sr., 77, a native of St. Charles Parish and resident of Paradis, La., died at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
A Korean War veteran, Mr. Estay was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus Post 2409 and the Union Local 60.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gisclair Estay; son, Alvin (Darlene) Estay Jr.; daughters, Natalie (Antonio) Gonzalez and Heidi (Robert) Lasserre; brothers, Buddy Graver and James Estay; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He is buried at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.
