Alvin P. Stephany, Sr., 83, a resident of Luling, LA. and a native of New Orleans, LA., died at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. funeral time, in which a religious service will be held, at United Methodist Church in Luling. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
He is survived by his sons, Alvin P., Jr. and Bruce J. Stephany; one foster son, Johnnie P. Arcement; one brother, Joseph A. Stephany; 4 grandchildren, and one grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Gros Stephany; his parents, Joseph and Lucille Cantrelle Stephany, and one brother, Atwood J. Stephany.
He was a retired from Monsanto Co., a member of the American Legion Post 131 of Luling, the Hahnville Lion’s Club, Lee E. Thomas Lodge 421, and the Grand Consistry of State of LA.
In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the United Methodist Church Youth Group.
