Barracudas make waves at state meet

Amanda Marie Larpenter, 22, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Gray, La., died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at 2:58 a.m.
She is survived by her parents, Donald and Cindy Blanchard Larpenter of Gray; one sister, Katie Beth Larpenter of Gray; her grandparents, Virgis and Jeanette Blanchard and Marie Louise Larpenter; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one aunt, Cheryl Blanchard Taylor; her grandfather, Aaron Larpenter; her great-grandparents, Harold and Hilda Domangue, Stanley and Edna Blanchard, Joseph and Agnes Gautreaux and Eba Sr. and Annis Larpenter; two uncles, Ronald and David Larpenter; and one aunt, Earline Larpenter Taylor.
Amanda was a student at Nicholls State University and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 24, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and Wednesday, July 25, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She will be buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
