Andrew Clifton Benoit, 94, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, May 7, 2012.
Mr. Benoit was a U.S. Army veteran of World War. He was a member of VFW Post 5097, Disabled American Veterans-Vietnam Post, Chapter Bayou 9 and South Louisiana Chapter American Ex-Prisoner of War. He was a carpenter by trade and parishioner and usher of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors and fishing at his camp.
He is survived by his children, Judith, Edgar (Debbie), Ransdell, June, Jerome and Mitchell (Melodia) Benoit and Pamela (Robert) Dominique; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Benoit; parents, Joseph and Marie Benoit; brothers, Henry, John, Gaston, Paul, Alfred, Ray and Sidney Benoit; and sisters, Bertha Guillot and Odette LeBlanc.
Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
