Annabel Arcement Gaubert, 95, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Lockport, La., died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family Friday, July 17.


She is survived by four sons, Burton and wife Jackie, Kenneth and companion Deanna, Barry and companion Mary, and Danny and wife Linda; one daughter, Darnell Matthews; one sister, Marion Bernard; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnaud Gaubert; parents, Nicholas and Beatrice Knobloch Arcement; three brothers, Hartwell “Jack,” Hewitt “Joe,” and Lionel “Brother” Arcement; one sister, Hazel Arceneaux; one granddaughter, Honor Gaubert; and one great-granddaughter, Jessie Lynn Gaubert.

She was a retired teacher with the Lafourche Parish School Board.

Burial was at Holy Savior Catholic Church Cemetery in Lockport.

Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
