Cassidy: Louisiana has answers for nation’s woes

Anthony Junius Griffin, 78, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 3:25 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011.
He is survived by his son, James (Connie) Griffin; daughters, Gail (Aubrey) LeBoeuf and Nanette (Cody) McElroy; stepbrothers, David, Daniel and Ricky Griffin; sister, Velma LeBlanc; halfsisters, Paula Duplantis and Anna Griffin; eight grandchildren, Mark and Jessica Authement, Jereme and Chrissy Griffin, Jamie Garrett, Jade and Paige McElroy and Brittney LeBouef; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elvie “Beb” Pellegrin Griffin; parents, Columbus and Odessa Trosclair Griffin; son, Richard Griffin; brothers, J.C., Steve, Joseph and Richard Griffin; sisters, Bessie Daily, Rita Picou and Mary Jane Thibodaux; and halfsister, Carmen Griffin.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
He is buried at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery in Dulac, La., (Samart)
