Corps of Engineers wins flood fight during Gustav

Anyssa Alexis Thomas, 3, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, August 8, at 7:34 a.m.
She is survived by her parents, Gary Paul Thomas and Valerie Ann Green; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee A Green Jr.; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
She will be buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
